Torbjorn Hákonson
Birth place: Borre, Norway
Born: 852AD
Torbjorn is a third generation hunter, born in Borre Norway.
His childhood was spent learning to hunt with his father Hákon, in particular learning to train birds of prey to hunt. By the time he was 11 years old,his hunting skills were able to keep food on his family’s table whilst his father went raiding through the summer months.
He learnt to work leather to make gloves for his falconry and hunting also made him a skilled Archer, a skill that was very useful when he became a man and went on his first raid.
Raiding took him to many places and he realised that he could trade his trained birds of prey for many riches which has provided a good living for him and his wife Freyja, who he met on one of his trading trips to Hedeby.
Torbjorn now has a farm near Hedeby in Denmark as well as a large farm northwest of the wapentakes of Neweton in Northumbria.
He now has two sons, Tarfr and Ormr and a daughter Runa.
